The exhibition “The Intensity of Places – Flow and Abstraction” was opened last Sunday in Augsburg with great success.

In their works, Anja Behrens and Anna-Maria Kursawe delve deeply into the expressive power of landscapes , influenced by the unique character and specific light of each location. With masterful artistry, they capture the contrasting moods of North and South and present them in direct juxtaposition.
On the one hand, we see fascinating interpretations of Arctic nature , on the other, Mediterranean cityscapes in all their beauty. By comparing the different perspectives and modes of expression of the two artists – here the Nordic flow, there the southern abstraction – the captivating intensity and formative power of different places is impressively revealed.
The gallery's 2024 exhibition program is supported by the Arno Buchegger Foundation, Kremer Pigmente, the Cultural Department of the City of Augsburg and by Kreativ-Transfer with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
