Born in Aalen (BW), she studied design and lives and works in Aalen and Provence. Ulrike Langen doesn't deny her fashion background as a painter either: She enjoys choosing bright, perfectly coordinated colors and combines flat, color-filled painting with delicate graphic elements from antiquity and modernity. Numerous influences from the past, combined with extravagant motifs from life and everyday life, characterize her works. Langen presents dream worlds reminiscent of the Pop Art of a Lichtenstein or a Wesselmann. However, she remains committed to a concept of beauty that is not only "fashionable" but also thoroughly classical.
