"Painting is not a hobby, not a job or passion. She is my doppelganger, my conscience, my second me," says the Russian -born painter Marina Krasnitskaya her daily examination of art. Her works address great feelings such as love, longing and hope, often embodied by women's figures or in abstract representations. With a unique design language, she combines elements of folk art in her homeland with personal emotions. Inspired by artists like Picasso, Krasnitskaya sees her paintings as an emotional diaries: Each picture is an intimate piece of her self in various shapes and colors. In addition to her work as a graphic designer and web designer, she develops the clear Russian design language and creates contemporary masterpieces that pay homage to the Russian fairytale culture and remind sizes such as Malewitsch or Chagall.
