Sensual bronze sculpture "Mar" by Manel Vidal

The artist, born in Spain in 1953, already shows a passion for sculpture in his childhood. Since family support is missing, he initially works in the textile industry. With the foundation of the "Escuela de Artes Y OFICIOS" in his hometown La Pobla de Claramunt, he becomes rector, but later gives up this position in order to fully devote himself to his artistic career. His sculptures are characterized by figurative representations in dynamic movement and represent people as the center of an ongoing creation. Like the masters of ancient Greek art, he strives for truth and the origin of human existence and transforms veteran into works of incomparable beauty and expressiveness.
