Museum replica cast by hand in white, polymer-bound art marble. Reduction. Format including diabass base 27 x 17 x 18 cm (h/b/t). Weight approx. 5.7 kg. Base 2.5 x 17 x 17 cm (h/b/t).
With this grandiose sculpture, Rodin designs the moment of rapture when the two lovers find each other in a passionate hug. In a storm of emotions, the artist makes the fateful meaning of the scene visible. Rodin's art of the vibrating surfaces, the expressively curved body and the haunting gestures of the desire are an expression of energetic soul states.
