About Peter Strang of German sculptor, *1936 in Dresden
Hardly any other sculptor shaped the traditional Meissen porcelain like Peter Strang: Born in 1936 in Dresden, the artist is famous for his wall sculptures, portraits and sculptures made of fine porcelain.
After completing his training at the state porcelain factory, Strang started studying at the Dresden University of Fine Arts and returned to the Meissen manufacturers in 1959 as a graduate. In 1973 he was appointed artistic director of the state porcelain factory. Since 2001 years, the strand has been working with the "Art Prize of the GDR", the "National Prize for Literature and Art" and the "Saxon Order of Merit" as a freelance artist.
