Animals practiced a special fascination on him. Franz Marc not only studied her anatomy as an artist, but also knew a lot about her behavior and her gestures. And so animal motifs run through his entire artistic work, especially the representation of horses. There are numerous drawings, the famous small sculpture "two horses" from 1908/1909 - and of course afterwards, like his "blue horse" from 1911.
