Care of the raffia braid

• To prevent brittleness: The mesh can become brittle in dry, heated air. Occasionally spray the back (!) of the mesh with a fine mist of water (possibly with a little salt added). This keeps the fibers flexible.
• Cleaning crevices: Use the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the gaps.
• Beware of sunlight: Direct, prolonged exposure to sunlight will eventually make the raffia brittle and bleach it.

Distance from the heater: Do not place the cushion directly next to a radiator or on active underfloor heating. The dry heat can cause cracks in the wood and breakage of the bast fibers.
