Care instructions

With proper care, the fibers remain elastic and retain their beautiful structure.

• Dust regularly: Dust easily gets trapped in the crevices of the weave. The best way to do this is with a soft duster, a dry microfiber or cotton cloth, or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on the lowest setting.
• Provide light moisture: Grass fibers need a minimum level of moisture to prevent them from becoming brittle. Every few months, lightly spray the parasol from a distance with a spray bottle (distilled water prevents limescale stains). It should only be slightly damp – never soaked.
• Treat stains carefully: For soiled areas, gently rub the spot with a slightly damp cloth and a little mild soapy water. Wipe with clean water and immediately pat the wicker dry with a cloth.
• Allow to air dry thoroughly: If the grass has become damp, let the umbrella dry completely in a well-ventilated place. Moisture in tightly woven materials can otherwise lead to mold growth.

You should avoid this:

The right light source: Use only LED lamps. Conventional incandescent bulbs generate a lot of heat, which dries out the grass, makes it brittle, and in the worst case, poses a fire hazard.

• Direct, continuous exposure to sunlight: UV radiation causes the natural material to fade and become brittle over time.
• Use in damp rooms: In bathrooms or poorly ventilated outdoor areas, grass absorbs too much humidity and is prone to mold.
• Aggressive cleaners: Harsh chemicals, abrasives or alcohol attack the natural protective layers of the plant fiber.
