The Swiss painter and sculptor Jean Tinguely became famous with his moving metal sculptures, "kinetic art". As early as 1944, he began to design machine -like machine -like objects and thus became an important pioneer in contemporary art in the 20th century. From the 1960s, Tinguely regularly exhibited worldwide, including three times on Documenta and MoMA New York.
