With graffiti , street art and large -format murals, we go into a vibrant sphere in which concrete walls become the scenes of modern stories. Urban Art can be seen as a domesticated art rate for interiors, which pays attention to the pulsating, multifaceted and often rebellious esprit of street artists worldwide.

In simple words, Urban Wall Art is the graffiti art in the form of Canvas art n for your own home. The popularity of this subversive, colorful and freedom -loving art form is unbroken. Wall paintings inspired by graffiti and street art capture the essence of urban creativity from all over the world. Graffiti became popular worldwide from New York in the 1970s; Today everyone is free to use the spray can. You can also hang it on your own wall Urban Wall Art

In our opinion, a home should always reflect a personal style, and graffiti is a great way to achieve just that.

Graffiti as a creative part of urban culture

Graffiti art has long been a colorful part of large-scale environments and gives urban environments a measure of expression and inventiveness. Street Art has developed into an effective form of artistic expression, which appeals to communities around the world tags to complex murals

Graffiti and street art have numerous useful functions in large cities that go beyond pure aesthetics. They first give disadvantaged voices a forum so that they can be heard. Street artists often respond to social and political concerns and emphasize topics that would otherwise not be reported in their work.

Graffiti can therefore be a very effective medium for social comments and socially critical actions in order to start important dialogues within societies.

Graffiti art also offers people unexpected places of beauty and astonishment and inspires and raises them. In an otherwise ordinary city scene, a spectacular painting or a provocative graffiti can delight and inspire him.

You cannot assess high enough how much graffiti shapes society. Graffiti has sustainably changed art, fashion and popular culture in the underground hip-hop scene of the 1970s to their current acceptance in the mainstream. From design and advertising to music and films, Street Art has shaped the cultural scene in many ways.

Basically, many elements influence graffiti art, including urban culture, music, politics and personal experiences. Artists such as Banksy , Mr. Brainwash , Shepard Fairey, Lady Pink, Keith Haring, Invader, Futura 2000 and Jean-Michel Basquiat embody the essence of graffiti art with their progressive and emotional work. Their blurred, unconditional approach gives your works the vitality and dynamics of big city life.

Haring's famous pop art graffiti, which often contained colored babies and dancing figures, transformed metropolitan regions into living canvases. While Futura produced an avant -garde, futuristic style in 2000 that blew up the borders of conventional graffiti, Basquiat's mix of street art and abstract expressionism deep and socio -political comments.

Messages of graffiti

Graffiti art often serves as a visual dialogue with the urban landscape and its inhabitants, reflecting a wide range of themes and emotions. It can provide a forum for marginalized voices, challenge accepted mainstream views, and offer political and social commentary.

Graffiti art has shifted beyond its beginnings on the street in galleries, auction houses and, last but not least, to our private interior. Especially with its provocative and often humorous stencil work, the British street artist Banksy attracted the attention of the global art community. His sculpture "Devolved Parliament" from 2019, which shows the British lower house populated by chimpanzees, broke the record for the sale of a works by a living street artist for amazing $ 12.2 million.

Just two years later, the artist broke his own record. A 2018 -shredded work entitled "Love is in the bin" was auctioned for a total price of £ 18.5 million (almost 22 million euros).

The rise of urban art for individual room decoration

The past decades of the new millennium have seen an unprecedented acceptance of the bold lines and vibrant colors of street art in interior design . Graffiti-inspired interior design enjoys growing popularity as it transforms everyday spaces into reflections of modern society. What was once found on the outskirts of cities can now be found in our homes.

Celebrities and design influencers often start decorative trends. Graffiti is no exception here. As influential personalities, famous street artists began to commission their houses to decorate their houses, a new age began for graffiti. This broad acceptance has contributed to the fact that graffiti has become a popular object of residential decorations. Urban Art are among the greatest collectors and supporters:

The energy of graffiti makes it an adaptable interior correction. This art form, be it a large mural or carefully selected focus points such as modern murals or poster , can match many tastes and furnishing styles . Graffiti gives a feeling of adventure and freedom that traditional art may not be able to do.

Celebristies and their soft spot for Street Art

Beyoncé and Jay-Z , the ultimate celebrity power couple, love Jean-Michel Basquiat. Jay-Z, born in Brooklyn, paid $ 4.2 million for Mecca (1982) at Sotheby's in 2013. The work shows a New York landscape with the inscription "Empire" under the artist's crown. Eight years later, the hip-hop couple appeared in a commercial from Tiffany & Co. alongside Basquiat's turquoise painting Equals Pi (1982). The painting comes close to the characteristic blue of Tiffany and has not been seen for decades, according to a contribution by the Maddox Gallery .

After Brad in 2006 at Banksy's "Barely Legal" show in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie the couple's first Banksy painting for £ 200,000. A year later, Pitt and Jolie spent almost £ 1 million for Banksy pieces at an auction in Soho. Since the couple's divorce in 2016, a lot has been talked about their art collection, but nobody knows where the Banksy works are.

Steve Aoki , the fourth highest paid DJ in the world, collects art toys in addition to records. Aoki was not interested in painting than he started collecting, but art figures were understandable for him and his friends. Aoki's house is a work of art that houses the original works by Banksy, Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, Retna and Osgemeos as well as figures from Kaws. The Kaws Room, a museum of the three -dimensional sculptures by the New York artist, shows a series of Four Foot Companions, one of his most famous characters.

Kylie Jenner , the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister, presented Architectural Digest 2019 in California and showed a breathtaking house that is decorated with contemporary art, including a Jean-Michel Basquiat in the living room. Now she has posted photos of her growing collection of contemporary art on Instagram, including a complete portfolio edition of Keith Haring in her home office and a Kaws chair for her daughter Stormi by Travis Scott.

Graffiti space design has developed so well for reasons

  • Personal expression: It offers us a platform to highlight our individuality. Graffiti give a strong statement and can play the main role in one room.
  • Cultural relevance: It captures an urban, modern spirit that is in line with the present. Graffiti art becomes more and more accessible; Replica, art prints and posters are also available for interested parties who cannot order or buy original pieces. Wall stickoos and photo wallpapers also ideal as a medium for street art in your own four walls.
  • In view of the increasing demand for do-it-yourself interior architecture, the individual design of a graffiti style is more obvious than ever.

Although the graffiti room decoration has a rebellious quality, its integration into the house design has surprisingly succeeded. It emphasizes areas and addresses the young energy that is stored in each of us, regardless of age.

Graffiti art is also extremely varied. Regardless of whether it is a single -colored template (so -called stencil) or a fully realized wall painting . The spectrum of styles extends from simple to refined and enables everyone to give their living rooms a unique note. You can choose pieces that address your own taste, or tell a personal story and thus transform a wall into a conversation. Perhaps you will also learn the ability to create graffiti yourself.

In the future we can reckon with even more creative uses of graffiti that redefine our definition of what a decor should be. This may be due to the fact that Urban Art has gained more and more recognition and appreciation.

This is a tool for categorising and systematising the diversity of art. It denotes similarities that distinguish it from others.

The term is thematically related to the Art Movement, but it should not be viewed solely within a temporal framework and is therefore much broader.
