Akolo Emmanuel Olusegun is a Nigerian-born, Niagara-based visual artist who transitioned from a background in civil engineering to a multidisciplinary practice. Working primarily with acrylics and charcoal, he combines expressive brushstrokes with complex textures and fingerprints to create emotionally resonant figurative works. His art reflects themes such as identity, social justice, and human resilience, and aims to foster understanding across cultural and racial boundaries.
