In her pursuit of the poetic and the essential, Wiebke Bader draws her inspiration from nature. The flowing contours and organic structures of her largely abstract sculptures combine to create a captivating symbiosis of grace and tension. The artist loves to play with contrasts: roundness meets sharpness, smallness meets gigantism, openness meets closedness. The objects practically invite the viewer to follow their curved forms and the dance of light on their surfaces.
