Statement from the artist: "My name is Paola, an Italian who has lived in Germany for over ten years. Influenced from childhood by the art of my self-taught father, I grew up with oil painting and a curiosity for creativity. After studying historic preservation, I sought a fresh start in Germany and found professional fulfillment here, as well as the opportunity to return to painting during my maternity leave without the pressure of performance. I work primarily with acrylic paint in the tension between minimalism and abstraction, often monochromatically. My art has no defined purpose; rather, it reflects my inner conflicts."
