Framed picture “Princess Diana” (1982)
The engagement photograph of Diana Spencer, taken by Lord Snowdon, served as the basis for Warhol's work. Warhol cropped out Prince Charles and placed Princess Diana in the foreground. Twenty-six years after her death, it is now being auctioned by the London auction house Phillips. The estimated price is between €1.4 and €2.1 million.
High-quality edition printed using offset printing on cardboard. Framed in a silver-colored solid wood frame with a beveled passe-partout and glazed. Size approx. 71 x 61 cm (H/W).
