Directly molded from the original and reduced in size (reduction). Sculpture in fine bronze, cast by hand using the lost-wax process and patinated.
Limited edition of 199 copies, individually numbered and signed, and marked with the foundry mark.

Marg Moll was a student of the great Henri Matisse and one of the first, if not the first, German female sculptors of distinction. Denounced as "degenerate" in the Third Reich, some of her early works survived the Nazi era and the war only by chance. This sculpture is among the few surviving works from the period before the Second World War. Its bronze casting demonstrates the artist's powerful yet sensuously focused creative force.
