“Mercedes” (2017) by Paul Thierry, Limited edition monotype on acrylic glass

Paul Thierry's decorative collages, which captivate with their mesmerizing visual effect, are now part of the German Federal Government's art collection. The artist, born in 1976, uses his unique technique to depict the vibrant life of the metropolises Paris and New York, as well as idyllic beach scenes and the fascinating animal world. He applies the background motifs directly to the canvas, while an acrylic glass plate mounted above it is hand-painted in an X-ray-like style.
