It is not least his handling of color that makes Hundertwasser's work so unique. He uses it instinctively (according to the renowned art historian Wieland Schmied) and, precisely through this, achieves maximum effect with almost sleepwalking certainty.
The deep black lacquered solid wood frame and the black passe-partout with its white beveled edge make Hundertwasser's colors shine even more brightly. High-quality reproduction in 7 to 9 colors, enhanced with a highly refractive metallic foil using an embossing process and partially coated with UV varnish.
