The painting 928, King of the Antipodes, was one of Hundertwasser's favorite paintings. The term "antipode" comes from the Greek and literally translates as "opposite foot." Geographically, antipodes refer to the inhabitants of two places that are directly opposite each other on the globe; philosophically, they refer to the proponents of two diametrically opposed viewpoints.
