“Ring sundial necklace” by Christiane Wendt

The Franconian scientist Johannes Müller, also known as “Regiomontanus”, designed his famous ring sundial in 1436, which allows solar time to be read anywhere on Earth.

This piece of jewelry faithfully reproduces the historical original and is fully functional: Set the hole in the inner ring to the current month, hold it towards the sun and add 1 hour during summer time!

925 sterling silver, plated with 24-karat gold, with a set garnet.
Diameter 2 cm, on a 45 cm long curb chain.
