Wiebke Bader, who moves freely in the arts, is a sculptor by profession. Her favored materials are bronze and fine wood. In pursuit of the poetic and essential, Wiebke Bader draws her inspiration from nature. The curved contours and organic structures of her largely abstract sculptures combine to create a fascinating symbiosis of grace and tension. The artist loves to juggle contrasts: roundness meets pointy, smallness meets gigantism, openness meets closedness. The objects practically invite the viewer to follow their curved forms and the dance of light on their surfaces. The artist's joyful joie de vivre finds expression in her works: radiant surfaces, magnificent figures, firmly anchored yet floating, playful yet introverted. Her works are shown at national and international exhibitions and art fairs.
