Gleny's Flint is dedicated to large -format sea landscapes in oil. Although she has always liked to draw, her actual painting trip only began in 2018 when she moved to Madeira after a career as a designer in the fashion industry. The Atlantic island world with its dramatic landscapes became the decisive impulse for its artistic work. Her first works - fashion portraits as a reminiscence of her former career - quickly developed into detailed, large -format flower paintings. But the ocean around Madeira had an irresistible fascination on her. "It is the unique, constantly changing state of the sea that lies quietly and sparkling in the sun for a moment and is whipped up by the wind in the next, roaring and foaming with an unstoppable force that inspires me," explains the artist.
