Miguel Guía saw the light of day on October 29, 1960 in Madrid. He spent his childhood in the foundry and the sculpture workshop of his family, causing him to come into contact with artistic design at a young age. Surrounded by various artists, he gained extensive knowledge of the sculptor craft. His original style was strongly shaped by cubism, and was based on the works of Picasso and Manolo Valdés. For many years he maintained the Cubist style and also began exploring realism. In the course of time, however, he developed his own style, which he himself describes as a "kind of essence". By this he means "breaking the shape to find the nature of the sculpture."
