Everything is in motion: In the oil paintings by Sonja Noble von Hoeßle, the color seems to flow, the element of water becomes literally tangible. You guess nature and landscapes, but similar to a dream, the contours remain blurry. The pictures with their relief -like surfaces appear dynamic and organic, almost alive. For this visual impression, the artist developed her own special painting technique, in which she puts several layers of oil paint on the canvas and targeted the thick color application with spatula and knife. Sonja Noble von Hoeßle, born in 1960, is also active as a sculptor in addition to her painting. She studied visual communication at the FH Mainz and the FH Würzburg and has been regularly showing her works at home and abroad since 1996.
