Handmade sculpture "Scheme delle Proporzioni" to Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci is considered the greatest universal genius of art and science history. As an outstanding representative of the Renaissance man, he combined diverse talents-from painters to sculptor to naturalists and inventors. Despite his modest training due to his illegitimate origin, he managed to gain a foothold in the Verrocchios workshop and to work on important courtyards such as that of the Duke of Milan or Cesare Borgia. Da Vinci's life's work is characterized by a humanistic world view and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His scientific studies, such as geological education or water flow, are as impressive as its artistic masterpieces. Works such as the "Lord's Supper" and the "Mona Lisa" occupy a special place in art history. His striving for harmonious compositions prepared the High Renaissance, while his later consideration of light and air already raised questions that showed baroque painting ahead.
