Kai Queden's painting are like a short short vacation. As a real North Frisian, he is primarily devoted to the coastal landscape and paints atmospheric impressions from the sea, the beach and the width of the horizon. In his works, Quedens, born in 1965, combines a strong expression with a calm mood. The painter from the island of Amrum prefers to work with EIT Tempera on canvas - a centuries -old painting technology, in which the colors appear particularly natural and strong. Its long -term painting is therefore completely geared towards bringing the luminosity of the colors into its own. In order to be able to give the colors as much space as possible, Quedens does not realistically depict its landscapes. Instead, he composes them from a few details and in a flat color application. However, the motifs always remain recognizable and create an almost real moment by the sea in the presentation of the viewers.
