Hans Rabanser is a wood sculptor, and as such he has a very close relationship with his "material": how his sculptures are shaped, which movement, which position he can map, has to do not least with the structure and properties of the wood in front of him. For the first time, one of his wooden objects in art marble appears, for him a completely new artistic experience.

Hans Rabanser, born in 1948 in the South Tyrolean Grödnertal, turned to wood sculpture after 30 years of work. He works as a freelance artist to see his work in exhibitions from Munich to Cologne to the Kenyan Malindi. Rabanser works mainly in the great outdoors, here he finds inspiration and calm for his sculptures. "My sculptures arise spontaneously - depending on how the tree has grown and shaped," says Hans Rabanser. This creates very unique forms that make his sculptures a sensual experience.
