The Roman Gaia, the African Konkomba, the South American Pachamama, the Indian Prithivi - the mythologies all over the world know the motif of the primeval mother. The origin of the world and nature are often associated with highly worshiped women's figures.

Beth Newman Maguire's "Dancing Mother Earth", which, enveloped by foliage, distributes life and fertility in elegant dance, goes back to an ancient, archetypal myth-even if it knows how to express it in terms of stylistically.

Unique in bronze, cast in the wax melting process, chased and patinated by hand.
