Bronze sculpture "Ottifant" by Otto Waalkes

Otto Waalkes is not only a comedian, singer and actor, he is also a gifted draftsman and caricaturist (and by the way by the way of a graduate of the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg). His best -known cartoon is the Ottifant. Originally designed as a logo for Otto's own record company Rüssl Räckords, the pachyderm became more and more a trademark, even to the drawn alter ego Ottos itself. The same mischievous smile, the same mischievous look - in short, a portrait of the artist as a young Ottifant. And so our edition made of fine bronze not only puts a small monument to the Ottifant, but at the same time the great comedian Otto Waalkes.
