Dagmar Vogt's art is characterized by the fusion of abstraction and objectivity, whereby it addresses the decay of nature. The artist, born near Cologne in 1960, explores the transitions from anatomical to free sculptural representation both in painting and in plastic. Her large -format, relief -like images capture the atmosphere of nature with mountains, lakes and plants and address the eternal cycle of life. Series such as "blooming and withered" and "flowers on the river" look fairytale and fleeting, so that the decay of glowing flowers is visible through their abstract time. Vogt uses numerous color nuances and creates numerous pre -sketches for their works.
