Semi-abstract sculpture “Justitia” by Peter Hohberger
The sculptor Peter Hohberger is known for his impressive depictions of the human body, inspired by mythological themes. His works are characterized by a subtle abstraction and sensitive modeling technique, which lends them a special expressiveness.
In his interpretation of Justitia, Hohberger deliberately avoided the baroque pose with sword and scales and instead oriented himself towards the Madonnas of the Protective Cloak of the late 13th century. The cloak symbolizes protection and security – values that represent law, justice, and the judiciary in society.

Peter Hohberger, born on November 12, 1939, in Silesia, began drawing and sculpting at an early age. After a successful acting career, he now devotes himself to painting and fine art, considering himself a classical sculptor. His work is inspired by the beauty of the human body and nature. Unaffected by modern trends, he creates nudes and portrait busts that reflect his admiring engagement with ancient masters, Auguste Rodin, and especially Arno Breker, whose teachings have profoundly influenced him. Hohberger states: "Art that enriches life and brings joy to people outlasts any kind of so-called zeitgeist."
