Marc Podawczyk (born 1971 in Dortmund) is a German painter. He studied at the art academies in Münster and Düsseldorf, most recently as a master student. He lives and works in Dortmund. Podawczyk is a painter constantly searching for an authentic, painterly expression of himself. While a few years ago his computer-generated constructions and color bands (see the series V-MD X, Stripes) reflected his ordering spirit, now his impressive, completely free-flowing works make him appear inwardly liberated.
