Born in 1969 in Nijmegen, Corné presents his works at an international level. He uses a variety of styles that all have one thing in common: the continuous examination of the game of light and shadow. Its preferred media are oil paints, dry pastels and graphite pencils. For him, the focus or the topic is not in focus, but rather the way the levels vary a certain sound quality and reflect on the light. Colors are relatively unimportant for him and can occur in any schemata. The sound quality that his work always runs through and generates the illusionary depth and abundance on a two -dimensional level. Corné combines figurative representations with abstract elements, since neither of them can provide the desired artistic statement that the audience hopes for by an artist. Through exaggerations and deviations from the standard, it creates a striking color scheme and a wide range of tape to create works of art that would still be recognizable if canvas or paper were torn into pieces.
