Born in 1969 in Nijmegen. Corné's works can be seen in many countries around the world. Corné uses a variety of styles that all have one thing in common: the constant search for the light on phenomena and all the shadows and light levels that they block. His favorites are oil paint, dry pastel and graphite pencil. He notes that it does not matter the shape or the topic, but in the way in which levels vary and block the light. Colors are relatively unimportant and can take any scheme. It is the sound quality that is always present in his work and creates the illusion of depth and mass on a flat 2D level. Corné combines figurative work with the search for abstraction, because neither of both of them can provide the desired art statement that the audience awaits from an artist. In addition, exaggerations and deviations are the standard and lead to the typical use of a strong color scheme and a wide range of tape to create art that would still be present if the canvas or paper were torn into pieces.
