To celebrate the Day of the Dead, the artist was inspired to paint a tribute to Frida Kahlo and her surrealist style. His painting "Four Fridas" depicts her at four different ages: as a young cross-dressing rebel, as a mature woman in a wheelchair holding herself like a child, and as the Day of the Dead Caterina Calavera outside the window. The characteristic hairless Xoloitzcuintli dog at Friday's feet was traditionally considered a psychopomp, guiding the dead to the underworld.
