Steel sculpture "split society" (2021) by Jan Köthe

In his sculptural work, Jan Köthe (*1965) creates a fascinating contrast between the solid, massive nature of the stainless steel and the organic shape of its sculptures, which embody a unique dynamic aesthetics. This special artistic form of expression brought Köthe to awareness through numerous exhibitions, acquisitions as well as art and funding prices. In 2002 he was represented as a guest artist at Documenta 11 in Kassel. He completed his studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Applied Sciences and Art / Dortmund in the sculptor class under the direction of Prof. Horst Linn. Jan Köthe has his residence in Berlin.
