The painter and sculptor Mladen Simunovic, born in Gorica (Croatia) in 1968, known as Sime, is part of a young generation of artists that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. His sculptures show that classic art topics are not exhausted for him; It always offers new, subjective perspectives. After training in the field of applied art, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Sime uses numerous preparatory drawings to develop its sculptures made of materials such as sound and bronze. His works impress with clear shapes and reduced representations, whereby the natural proportions and dynamic aesthetics are always preserved. He has been working as a freelance sculptor in Munich since 1999 and has been awarded multiple awards in Croatia. In recent years he has been increasingly exhibiting in Germany.
