Abstract sculpture "Collection" (2023) by Yves Rasch, bronze + wood

Yves Rasch, born in Hamburg in 1979, has been a freelance sculptor since 2002 who processes wood and bronze. From 2004 to 2009 he studied at Erich Gerer and has participated in numerous national and international symposia and exhibitions since 2005. His sculptures express an inner tension and have a physical presence without being figurative. They radiate dynamics, calm and harmony and show movement in the unmoved. Due to different perspectives, his works always develop new forms of expression. Rasch's wooden sculptures are the result of many hours of creative work on total blocks and, despite their mass, look light and elegant; His bronze sculptures are casting of this unique woodwork.
