Since Michel Pietsch (*1970 in Lehrte) for the first time in 1989 under his pseudonym Cren to the spray can, the writing has been the starting point and the foundation of his artistic work. Building on his experience as a graffiti artist, Cren sees the writing as a central element of communication and an important carrier of information in everyday life. With its colorful works that move between graffiti and abstract painting, Cren has been decorating great success for many years and already decorated walls in over 4 countries on three continents with its lettering. Cren breaks with the common rules of typography by disassembling letters individually in order to then put them together into a new overall picture.
