Picture “Lunch Rest” (1889/1890), framed

Original: 1889/1890, oil on canvas, 73 x 91 cm, Musée d'Orsay, Paris.

Transferred directly onto artist's canvas using the fine art giclée process and stretched over a wooden frame. Limited edition of 980 copies, with certificate. Framed in a gold-colored solid wood frame with metal leaf. Size 57 x 73 cm (H/W).

While van Gogh barely received enough money for paint and canvas during his lifetime and was dependent on the support of his brother Theo, his works now regularly fetch double-digit millions at spectacular auctions.

"This man will either go mad or he will leave us all far behind," Camille Pissarro prophesied about Vincent van Gogh, born in 1853 as the son of a pastor. And indeed, the Dutchman would become a pioneer of modern art, ushering in Expressionism with his flowing lines and vibrant colors.
