Mixed-Media nude painting "Abundatia" (2021) by Alina Konyk (Ukraine)

This is the first work of art in cooperation between Alina Konyk and Oleg Kaznacheiev in a new series dedicated to national identity. The basis of this series is the idea of ​​preserving an authentic vision, and the desire to populate the culture and aesthetics of folk art that is unique for every region of Ukraine. The painting is inspired by images of decorative applied art of the Huzulen region. There is an element in the middle of the picture that has long been used to decorate chests. As well as patterns are used in Easter eggs and embroidery. They mean prosperity, fertility and serve as talisman. The painting is made in various techniques and materials. It combines the skills of two artists. This work looks different from every perspective, its appearance is influenced by the surroundings in which it is located. The work is like a woman who has a changeable character and a changeable mood. The name Abundatia from Latin means "fullness".
