Sculpture “The Kiss” by Bernard Kapfer, version in artificial marble, limited exclusive edition

"If you don't shy away from a difficult task, it will reward you with beautiful children," Bernard Kapfer explained with a twinkle in his eye, revealing the key to his art. Born in Paris in 1945, the sculptor studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, where the adopted Alsatian devoted himself exclusively to painting and drawing for many years before sculpture became the focus of his work. With consummate technique, Kapfer embarked on a search for archetypal forms. He drew inspiration from the great tradition of the Renaissance; the study of the great masterpieces of classical art and their contemporary reinterpretation were his path to 21st-century art. Bernard Kapfer's works gained international acclaim through numerous exhibitions in France, Monte Carlo, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Hong Kong. The artist passed away in 2021.
