The Belgian artist Jacques Vanroose (*1943) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges and later devoted himself to creating sculptures in bronze and ceramic. Humans are the focus of the artist's expressive sculptures. His figures are often powerful and dynamic, but also contemplative and sensual – and movement always plays an important role. The rough and restless surface of the bronze makes the poses of the bodies particularly expressive and impressive.
