Image "Dora Maar" (1937), framed
In 1936 Picasso met the photographer Henriette Theodora Markovitch - known as Dora Maar. The attractive young woman with long black hair and green eyes became the best known lover, muse and model of the Spanish artist. Picasso recorded her unapproachability and her charisma described as puzzled.
