Linda O'Neill grew up in Northern California before moving to Boulder, Colorado, in 1997. She loves living near the mountains, where she finds inspiration in the landscape during early morning walks with her husband and their Dutch Shepherd.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Dominican University in San Rafael, California. There, she developed a passion for Abstract Expressionism, which led her to further develop her talent as an abstract painter. Her numerous exhibitions in museums and galleries and at international art fairs include: the Littleton Museum of Art, Littleton, Colorado; the Alexandria Art Museum, Alexandria, Louisiana; the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, Augusta, Georgia; and Stephen F. Austin University in Texas, among others.
She has received many awards, including Best of Show: Second Place for her painting "Ordinary Limits" in the "Destination" exhibition presented at the Littleton Museum, Littleton, CO. She received an Award of Excellence in “The Healing Power of Art 2020” exhibition, curated by Renee Phillips, Director of Manhattan Arts International, New York, New York, “for her originality, technical skill, and cohesive creative vision, which reflects depth, fluidity, and an optimistic spirit.”
Linda and her art have been featured in numerous art publications, directories, and books. She was selected for inclusion in the Art Folio Book: “Curated Collection of the World’s Most Exciting Artists,” published by Glitterati Editions, New York, NY; was a Featured Artist in Emergo Art Magazine, based in the Netherlands; and in Vogue UK magazine.
Before pursuing her own art career, Linda worked as a digital painter on feature films and commercials at Industrial Light+Magic, the special effects division of Lucasfilm.
