Christine Müller's mostly large-format works share a joyful, positive aura. Whether a sea of ​​flowers, a spring meadow, or a visual interpretation of a Debussy piece, the painter's works always brim with vitality and dynamism. Her seemingly fleeting and spontaneous working method, with its impasto brushstrokes, finds its art historical reference in abstract expressionism. The artist draws inspiration from the works of famous composers such as Chopin, Ravel, and Tchaikovsky. She translates these spontaneous musical associations into an impulsive visual language of surreal forms and structures in a broad color palette. And despite all the apparent abstraction, upon closer inspection, representational elements such as faces and figures can occasionally be discerned within the sea of ​​color. Müller says she tries to capture the essence of music in her paintings.
