About Isa Dahl *1965 What is reminiscent of blades of grass, feathers and plant fibers are dynamically attached brush swings with which Isa Dahl creates her biomorphic pictures. Glaing lays of layers of paint on top of each other and thus creates motifs on the canvas that fluctuate between objectivity and abstraction. In a fascinating way, Isa Dahl explains the similarities of abstract painting and gesture calligraphy. Each picture conveys an attractive depth of space, which reveals an infinite number of layers to the viewer when you take a closer look. Isa Dahl studied painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. She was awarded numerous scholarships and prices for her works. The artist lives and works in Stuttgart. On Art Karlsruhe 2016, her large -format pictures were among the highlights of the fair.
