Robert Hettich: “Get together” (2006), reproduction, giclée print on canvas
Picture “Get together” (2006), framed
The works of Robert Hettich, born in 1964, skillfully oscillate between abstraction and concretization, between color impression and figurative representation. The motifs remain recognizable, but the main effect is a mood, an emotion, which is communicated to the viewer precisely through the groups of people dissolved into color fields and composition.
The edition is printed using the fine art giclée process, directly onto artist's canvas and stretched onto a stretcher frame.
Limited edition: 199 copies, numbered and signed. Stretcher frame dimensions 65 x 93 cm (H/W).
Framed in a handcrafted, silver-colored solid wood frame with a shadow gap.
Format 70 x 98 cm (H/W).

When Robert Hettich, a German of Russian descent, came to Germany in his mid-twenties in 1988, he was immediately able to establish himself as a graphic designer. He had studied graphic design, art, and painting in Leninabad, Tajikistan (now Khujand), an education that proved exceptionally solid because it placed great emphasis on imparting fundamental artistic knowledge and mastering practical techniques. Nevertheless, after studying at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, he also completed a diploma examination in graphic design. This dual educational path may explain his versatility.
