Armin Mueller-Stahl, born in December 1930 in Tilsit, East Prussia, is a multi-talented artist with diverse creative output. Previously, only a select few knew of his great talent as a painter. Armin Mueller-Stahl paints as he acts: magnificently! His portraits are expressive depictions of people. With sometimes expressive brushstrokes, reduced to essential features and abstracted, he lends each character a pictorial existence. In his landscape paintings, Armin Mueller-Stahl pushes abstraction even further. He concentrates on constellations of light and color, which he interprets with great virtuosity.
