About Ottmar Hörl
Ottmar Hörl (born 1950) is one of the most important German contemporary artists.
His plastic work deals with the topic of standardization, the equal design of everyday objects that surround us in large numbers in our lives. But he does it in an extremely humorous way, and his "exhibitions" are the same spectacles when he "carries" a giant swarm of owls to Athens, set up hundreds of bears in front of the Brandenburg Gate or shows 1,000 meerkats on the "company outing" - all made of squeaky plastic.
